Head Nurse Georgie
Cert IV Veterinary Nursing
Bachelor of Veterinary Technology (currently studying)

Georgie joined our team at the start of 2016 and completed her Cert IV Veterinary Nursing at the end of 2017. Georgie lives with her kitten Mickey and her quaker parrot Alfalfa who were both brought to the clinic as rescue animals. She also shares her home with another cat, Nala, a fish named Gus, and two aquatic snails named Geraldine and Timothy.
In her spare time Georgie enjoys exploring Victoria’s bushland, playing the ukulele and baking.
After completing her Cert IV Georgie decided to go back to university and is now completing her Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.

Nurse Renee
Cert IV Veterinary Nursing

Renee joined our team in mid 2017. She recently completed her Cert IV Veterinary Nursing. Renee has always had a passion for every kind of animal and has owned everything from horses to snakes, rabbits, tortoises, dogs and many others! She currently shares her home with a 14 year old British Short Hair named Silky, two fish named Claire and Jamie and an aquatic snail named Angus (who is her favourite).
In her spare time Renee enjoys competing in CrossFit and travelling to the Gold Coast to visit her partner.
Renee plans to study Zoology and continue her work with exotics and wildlife.




Nurse Laura
Cert IV Veterinary Nursing

Laura finished her Cert IV in 2015 and has worked at several small animal clinics in Victoria before joining our team in October 2017. Laura enjoys working with all animals and has a special love for Rats. In her spare time Laura enjoys creating things, baking, travelling, and hanging out with her two naughty torties, Gambino and Tyler.





Avian Veterinary Nurse

Nurse Kim
Cert 3 (Animal Technology),
Cert IV (Vet Nursing), Dip Ecotourism

Veterinary Nurse Kim joined Bird Vet Melbourne in 2012 after completing her studies in Animal Technology and travelling the world. She has volunteered with many organizations, some of which include; the Bird Department at Melbourne Zoo, Wildlife Victoria, Halls Gap Zoo and the RSPCA. She loves working with all animals, especially birds and has a cheeky Alexandrine Parrot named ‘Yama’. Kim is also a qualified Yoga teacher whose inner energy and calmness are great assets when dealing with tricky situations.




CertIV (Vet Nursing)

Qualified Veterinary Nurse Jessica has been at the specialist Avian Veterinary clinic since late 2011 and like the other bird vet nurses at the practice has an interest for birds and other animals and their welfare. Jessica is familiar with working with animals, growing up on a dairy farm in Northern Victoria and enjoys being surrounded by animals, both great and small. Jessica completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Box Hill Institute of TAFE in 2014.

Nurse Tori

Tori joined our team in November 2016. She is currently completing her Veterinary Nurse Cert IV at Box Hill TAFE. Tori lives with her 2 kittens, Pip and Squeak, they were both rescues. After completing her Cert IV, Tori plans to get involved with pet assisted therapy.

Nurse Jacinta

Jacinta joined our team in 2014 and completed her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing at Box Hill TAFE in 2015.

Nurse Lily
Cert IV Veterinary Nursing (currently completing)

Lily joined our team in mid 2017. She has just started her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing through Open Colleges. Lily will be working with us until November this year when she will be starting a new adventure in Queensland.
